Obituary
MONONA- Margaret A. Gross, age 92, of Monona, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2010, at HospiceCare Inc. She was born on Sept. 9, 1917, in Blooming Grove, the daughter of Edwin and Clara (Gausmann) Voges. In 1948, Margaret married George Gross in Madison. She was a member of Monona Evangelical Lutheran Church. Margaret enjoyed crocheting, sewing, making crafts, her card clubs and many fun hours at Ho Chunk Casino. Margaret and George loved spending time together, especially with their family. She is survived by her four children, Geraldine (Bruce) Scoville of Madison, Pat (Paul) Krueger of McFarland, George (Helga Mulcahy) Gross Jr. of Portage, and Marcia (John Lamberty) Hur of Verona; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Mary (Korfmacher) Voges; husband, George in 2007; daughter, Sharon Winch in 2006; sister, Dorothy Tracy; and brother, William Voges. Funeral services will be held at MONONA EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4411 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010, with Rev. William J. Pekari presiding. Burial will follow at Hope Cottage Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to Monona Evangelical Lutheran Church or HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Pkwy., Fitchburg, WI 53711.
