Obituary

MADISON- Wendel O. Wagner, age 69, of Madison, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010, at St. Marys Hospital. He was born on Dec. 26, 1940, in Dodgeville, the son of Otto and Rose (Marty) Wagner. Wendel married Sheila R. Nenneman on June 28, 1969. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Wendel retired from John Deere of Dubuque after 30 years. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Madison. Wendel is survived by his wife, Sheila; three children, Steven O. (Niki) Wagner, Teena M. Wagner, and Teresa R. Wagner; two grandchildren, Kevin and Kelsey; brother, Walter (Mabel) Marty of Monroe; and sister, Jeri (Robert) Caucutt of Madison. Wendel was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Carl Wagner. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010, with Rev. Ken Smith presiding. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park with military honors. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. The family would like to thank Middleton Village and the staff at St. Marys for their care and compassion. Cemetery: Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park with military honors.
