Dear Mary and family, My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your mother. She was such a special lady. Jon and I will always treasure the lovely afghan she knitted for us for our wedding. Mary I am so very sorry I am not able to be in Madison at this time. I was not able to arrange to be there for the visitation or funeral. But please know that you and your family are in my deepest heartfelt prayers. I hope it brings you comfort to know that your mother is in a place of rest and peace, alongside your dad. Jean and Bill got married with my grandparnets Giles and Iris Moen in Dubuque,Ia and were life long friends. Very strange how Jean and my grandma died on the same day, May 26th and buried on the same day at Rose Lawn. At least they did not go alone.
