Obituary

MADISON-Marilyn E. Minter, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Sunny Hill Healthcare Center in Madison. She was born on Feb. 2, 1925, the daughter of Ellsworth and Dorothy (Richter) Crose. Marilyn graduated from Madison East High School. In 1949, she married James Minter. Marilyn worked for General Casualty for a number of years. She was a proud member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Marilyn and Jim enjoyed the Madison Elks Club, gardening, decorating for Christmas, and traveling, especially to Las Vegas. She avidly followed high school, college and professional sports. Marilyn enjoyed her friends and was a member of the Graduation Girls from Madison East. She is survived by her sons; Brad (Marcie) and Scott (Linnea); grandchildren, Jeff, Mike, Molly and Brady; three great-grandchildren; Ella, Max and Owen; sisters-in-law, Marianne Crose and Mary Voth; and long time family friend, Mary Jean Egan. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents; and brothers, John and Duane Crose. At Marilyns request, private family services were held.
