Dearest cousins...
It is 10:47 a.m. on the day of your Mom's/Grandma's funeral. I just now saw the obituary and am SO sorry I can't be there with you. I've said prayers for you all as you cherish the beautiful, artful, loving life you all shared. I remember regular visits of your Mom and Dad (and you!) to Mt. Horeb -- which were tremendously appreciated by my parents (Howdy and Georgia) and us! God bless her gentle nature and may those granddaughters wear hats of style always in honor of their beloved grandmother. She was a special flower!
Love, Ann

My husband Ron, and I were up north at our cabin for the past two weeks near Phillips, WI. We just arrived home tonight and I found an e-mail from my sister Ann with a forward to the Gunderson Funeral Home concerning Iris's death.
You have our deepest sympathy. We have many warm memories with visits with Iris, Giles, and Lyle and Aunt Nellie and Uncle Issac. They all were very special cousins to us!
Knowing Iris was under the care of Hospice tells me that she had good care in her last few days.
Our deepest sympathy to you all in your loss. Mary Jo Brinkmann
