Lucille Brown

OREGON- Lucille M. Brown, age 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 11, 2010, at HospiceCare. She was born on July 16, 1913, the daughter of William and Amellia (Schuler) Burdick. Lucille married J. Archie Brown on February 12, 1935. She was a member of Peoples United Methodist Church in Oregon and Silver Threads. Lucille enjoyed volunteering at the both Fitchburg and Oregon Senior Centers. She is survived by her six children, Diana Hill, Betty (David) Cabral, Phyllis (Jack) Litke, Donald Brown, Ronald Brown, and Arlene Gelardi; 25 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Graves. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Archie in 1994; and her parents and 7 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14 , 2010 at 11 a.m. at PEOPLES UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 103 Alpine Parkway, Oregon, with Rev. Jon Claude Bartlett presiding. Entombment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at GUNDERSON ORGEON FUNERAL HOME, 431 Soden Dr., Oregon, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oregon Senior Center or Peoples United Methodist Church. A special thank you to Hospice Care for there compassion and care.
