No PhotoSmith, Caroline CaryMONONA-Caroline Cary Smith, age 71, of Monona passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at St. Marys Hospital. She was born on March 6, 1939, in Sparta, the daughter of Vern and Anna (Ziegler) Rapp. Cary worked at S-2 Business Solutions in Sun Prairie. She was an Elvis enthusiast and collected his memorabilia. Despite suffering many years from a debilitating disease, Cary was able to continue working. She is survived her sister, Pat Shedesky; nephews, Mike Shedesky and Brian and Mark Rapp; nieces, Ann Shedesky and Karyl and Kathryn Rapp; sister-in-law, Karen Rapp; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Cary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sarah; and brother, Kenneth Rapp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2010, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Inurnment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Cemetery: Inurnment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
