Harrison, Donald H.
MADISON-Donald H. Harrison, age 89, of Monona, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on April 6, 1921, in Edgerton, the son of Roscoe and Emma (Mason) Harrison. Donald served in the U. S. Army during World War II, in New Guinea, Southern Philippines, and Luzon. He married Lucille Campbell on Dec. 7, 1946, in Rockford, Ill. Donald worked construction in the Madison area, and founded Homestead Builders, working with his sons who now operate the business. He was a member of Madison Seventh Day Adventist Church. Donald enjoyed spending his leisure time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Lucille; three children, Russell (Delores) Harrison of Cottage Grove, Donald (Cathy) Harrison Jr. of Deerfield, and Linda (Patrick) Stallman of Norway, Iowa; six grandchildren, Mark (Teresa), David (Jennifer), Jeff, Scott (Kandace), Michelle (Russell) Wedemeier and Tracey (Travis) Krousie; eight great-grandchildren, Brandon, Austin, Paige, Jazmin, Brandon, Dawson, Jacob and Cole; and three sisters, Vera, Arlene and Evelyn.Donald was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, William, Vern and Evan; and two sisters, Dorothy and Vivian. Private family services were held at Roselawn Memorial Park. A special thank you to Dr. Ahrens and the staffat St. Marys Renal Center, and Dr. Albert Musa for the care and copassion given to Donald.
