Obituary
MADISON- Theodore G. \"Ted\" Alt, age 80, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Oak Park Place. He was born on Jan. 11, 1930, in Plain, the son of Anton and Regina Katharine (Ringelstetter) Alt. Ted married Mary Irene Muckler on July 19, 1952 in Spring Green. He was enlisted in the military from 1947 until 1949, and also in 1951. Ted worked as a truck driver for Oscar Meyer for 39 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the American Legion Post #501. Ted is survived by his sons, Jerry Alt (Peni) and Jim (Barb) Alt; daughters, Debbie (Gary) Meyer and Sue (Greg) Haberman; grandchildren, Jason (Sara) Alt, Jerry Alt Jr., Jessica Alt (Joe), Aaron (Jenny) Alt, Tony (Lyndsey) Alt, Carisa Meyer (Ryland), Casey Meyer and Amber Beal;great-grandchildren, Ariel, Luke, Mykala, Mya, Aiden, Lilly Ann and Ashton; and his sister, Irene Vondran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, in Feb. 2010; parents; brothers, Philip, Alfred, Cyril, Andrew, and Gilbert; and sisters, Bernice and Celia. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 10 a.m., with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., at the funeral home and also on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. A special thanks to HospiceCare and Oak Park Place for their compassion and care. \"We will miss our talks, our laughs and the time we spent together. You will be deeply missed by your family and many friends.\" Your loving family.

Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens.
