Dover, Thomas J.
BEAVER DAM/MADISON-Thomas J. Dover, age 80, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010. He was born on Sept. 29, 1929, in South Wayne, the son of Olaf and Ethel (Hansen) Dover. Tom served in the U. S. Army for four years active duty during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Jean Ann Biel on May 16, 1953, at St. Marys Catholic Church, in Lost Lake. Tom worked at Oscar Mayer for 36 years, retiring in 1983. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post No. 7591 and American Legion Post 146, and a member of the Goldwing Association, Chapter H. Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR, and traveling throughout the United States on their Goldwing. Tom also drove bus for Banes Bus Company in Beaver Dam. He is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Tom (Mary Steele), Diana (Pete Ten Bruggenchate), Todd (Kari Foseid) and Tina Jones (special friend, Duane); four grandchildren, Miranda, Tore John, Janna and Alena; two brothers, Duane (Rita) and Jerry; a sister, Delores Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clayton; and sisters, Eleanor, Julia and Lillian. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens, with military rites conducted. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2010. Memorials may be made to Veterans Memorial Park Fund, Attn.: Dennis Landen, 301 Cottage Grove Road, Madison, WI 53716. I will miss Tom a lot i saw him very often at Fleet Farm he was my Favorite customer at the gas station we will all miss him . you are in my thoughts and prayers .
