Obituary
MIDDLETON-Carey Dulaney Hall, Jr., age 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Middleton Village Rehabilitation Center. He was born on June 6, 1929 in Ballston, VA., the son of Carey and Nina (Gordon) Hall. Carey was an United States Army veteran of the Korean War having proudly served his country with the Army Corp of Engineers. He was united in marriage to Margaret Nolan on September 3, 1952 in Arlington, VA. Carey worked as a protection and security officer for the University of Wisconsin for over 24 years, retiring in 1989. He had a variety of interests including all sports especially following the Chicago Cubs and UW Athletics. He was an avid fisherman and loved to take rides in the country, but truly treasured most the time he spent with his family. Carey is survived by his loving wife Margaret Hall of Middleton; children, Richard D. (Ellen) Hall of Stoughton, R. Scott Hall of Madison, Diana Lynn (Carl) Johnson of Watertown, Kathy (Duane) Jelle of Madison, M. Kim (Thomas) Schmit of Mt. Horeb and Sandra Lee (Paul) Pujanauski of Black Earth; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister Bettie Rose (William) Carpenter; a brother Basil (Janie) Hall and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nina Webb and Nancy Parker; a brother, Gordon Hall; and a brother -in-law, W. Greg Nolan. A celebration of Carey's life will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME,7435 University Ave., Middleton from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 25, 2010.
