Richard Rowe

Rowe, Richard R.PORTAGE-Richard R. Rowe, age 62, of Portage, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2010. He was born on June 28, 1947 in Milwaukee, the son of Arthur and June (Zibell) Rowe. Richard served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne unit. He was a salesman in the building trade for many years. Richard belonged to Ducks Unlimited and the VFW Post 8483. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Richard was a people person and a kind-hearted man. He is survived by his wife, Sue;daughter, Melissa (Todd) Gruber;twin granddaughters, Kaylin and Mara;Melissas mother, Susan Rowe-Arthur;parents, Arthur and June Rowe;sister, Gail (Bobby) Austin;his hunting pal Maggie; and his cuddle buddies Daisy, Tyke and Sara Jean;and other relatives and friends.A memorial service will be held at CALVARY GOSPEL CHURCH, 5301 Commercial Ave., Madison, at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010. Visitation will be held at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday, with Military Rites. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Paul P. Carbone UW Cancer Center. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff at UW hospital for all of their care and support.
