Hann, Lydia M.
BROOKLYN-Lydia Marie Hann, age 100, of Brooklyn, passed away on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. She was born on June 11, 1909, in North Freedom, the daughter of Peter and Bertha (Gall) Holzman. Lydia married Albert Hann on June 4, 1932. They owned and operated Lakeside Garage in Madison for 45 years. She was a member of Brooklyn Lutheran Church and their ALCW. Lydia is survived by three children, Kathleen Stapleton of Lakewood, Colo., Albert (Myra) Hann of Oregon, and Robert Hann of Brooklyn and San Francisco, Calif.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Martin (Ame) of Eagle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1984; son-in-law, John Stapleton in 2000; a grandson, Todd Hann in 1989; a sister; and six brothers. Funeral services will be held at BROOKLYN LUTHERAN CHURCH, 101 Second St., Brooklyn, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2010, with the Rev. Rebecca Ninke presiding. Visitation will be at the church from noon until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the Oregon Senior Center or Brooklyn Lutheran Church.
