Gladys Boettcher

Boettcher, Gladys M.OREGON-Gladys M. Boettcher, age 84, of Oregon, passed away on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at her home. She was born on March 16, 1925, in DuPont Township, Waupaca County, the daughter of William and Elsa (Pranke) Krueger. Gladys married David J. Drews on April 26, 1947, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in DuPont Township. He preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1965. Gladys later married Franklin W. Boettcher on May 25, 1971, at Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church in Oregon. He preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2006. Gladys was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and Silver Threads at Oregon Senior Center. She is survived by ten children, Gloria (Bob) Salov of Cambridge, Bev Michaelis of LeClaire, Iowa, David (Linda) Drews of Cambridge, Dan (Debra) Drews of Oregon, Dale (Detra) Drews of Verona, Pat (Joe) Gerardo of Anaheim, Calif., Debbie (Dick) Hartman of Chapel Hill, Tenn., Bob Boettcher of Stoughton, Tim Boettcher of Verona, and Dennis (Colleen) Boettcher of Brooklyn; 53 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; a great-grandson;sister, Pearl Heiman of Clintonville; son-in-law, Don Karraker of Cambridge; daughters-in-law, Carol Boettcher of Oregon and Jackie Cooley of Stoughton; and many other relatives and friends. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Carol Karraker, Ron Boettcher and Bill Boettcher; son-in-law, Mike Michaelis; and siblings, Vera (Bill) Steinbrenner and Orpha (Arnold) Hoepner. Funeral services will be held at FAITH EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 143 Washington St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, with Vicar Mark Faugstad presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Private burial will be at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church or HospiceCare Inc.
