Obituary

Doskocil, James W.Cross Plains-James W. Doskocil, age 68, passed away on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, football and road-picking wild asparagus which he and his wife and kids often did. Jim was lucky in life to have 4 great children. He felt blessed to have 2 grandchildren, which he enjoyed spending time with. Jim also was lucky to have had a boss for many years that he could also call his friend, Jim Copus-Madison Pre-Hung Doors. Jim fought a very courageous battle with cancer and went through it with a grace few of us have. Jim is survived by his wife Marie of 27 years; 4 children: Sherri and Dan Clark of Oregon, Kevin and Angie Doskocil of Stoughton, Heather and Dave Morrill of Cross Plains, Miranda and Brandin Fischer of Cross Plains; 2 grandchildren: Jacob and Mackenzie; 4 brothers, 6 sisters; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Thomas and Peter Doskocil.A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Avenue, Middleton, on Sat., March 6, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank-you to Jim\'s nurse (Annette) for all of her help and compassion and also to the staff at HospiceCare. Visitation: Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Marych 6, 2010 at Gunderson West Funeral Home.. Service: A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Avenue, Middleton, on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.

He always like to tell on, me the story of when I was around seven, he helped me run away from home because I did not want to do dishes any more. He helped by pushing my doll buggy, with all my doll as far as that old cottonwood tree. Bebore we return home for supper. Will for ever miss him just being there, for stories, family time Patsy
