Obituary

Wagner, Donna J.MADISON - Donna J. Wagner, 84, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, of congestive heart failure. She was born July 16, 1925, in Chicago, to Stoepel and Helen Boughey. Donna enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Later, she attended UW-Madison, where she met her husband, Benjamin. They married Sept. 11, 1948. Donna retired from the VA Hospital in 1987. Donna had many interests including camping, gardening, reading, sewing, knitting and playing games with her family. She is survived by her son, Douglas (Theresa) Wagner; daughters, Martha Wagner, Cynthia (Lewis) Weisinger and Amy (Eric) Knapp; and daughter-in-law, Leola Wagner. She was a proud grandma to 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: grandchildren, Ben, Sarah, James and Daniel Wagner, Nathan Wagner, Brendan, Genevieve, Geoffrey and Estelle Sechter, Rebecca (Jeb) Searls, Seth and Aaron Weisinger, Donna and Grace Wagner, Bee Cha, and Kayleigh and Kelsey Knapp; and great-grandchildren, Ryan and Sam Searls. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; and son, Clinton. Memorial services will be held Monday, March 1, 2010, at noon, at CHRIST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 944 East Gorham St., Madison, with the Rev. Glen Reichelderfer presiding.
