Obituary
Kellough, Fyrn HedeenMONONA-Fyrn Hedeen Kellough, age 95, of Monona, passed away peacefully at HospiceCare on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010. She was born on April 15, 1914, in Sister Bay, the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Seaquist) Hedeen. Fyrn grew up in Sister Bay with her 12 brothers and sisters. She graduated as salutatorian from Gibraltar High School in 1932. Fyrn attended Chicago Business College and worked as an executive secretary prior to her marriage to Les Kellough on Feb. 19, 1951. They resided in Chicago until 1960. Fyrn moved with her husband and their two small children to Monona in 1960, where she lived until her death. She was active in her church, Monona Oaks Community Church. Fyrn enjoyed an active life, including work, volunteering, and traveling with her family, and she especially enjoyed her annual Hedeen Family reunions in Door County. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, Scrabble, and spending time with her family and friends. As was her wish, she remained independent to the end. Fyrn will be sorely missed by her children, Robert Kellough and Lynn (Tom) Richtman; grandchildren, Hannah and Sam Richtman; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Les in 1996; and her daughter-in-law, Karen Axness in 1996. Funeral services will be held at MONONA OAKS COMMUNITY CHURCH, 6200 Monona Drive, Monona, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010. Memorial contributions may be made to Monona Oaks Community Church. Many thanks to all her loyal friends, who helped her stay independent in her later years. A heartfelt farewell to our loving mother.

There was no greater true lady than my mother's
friend, Fyrn Kellough. Always kind, loving and ready
to help anyone who needed her, there are few who
possess the qualities she had. She raised a lovely
daughter and very nice looking son, both good people
with kind hearts. I loved Fyrn and she will be missed.
