Boyd, Jeanne BerggrenNEKOOSA-Jeanne Berggren Boyd, age 84, of Nekoosa, went to meet her Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at home in Nekoosa. She was born on April 21, 1925, in Madison, the daughter of Walter and Lucille (Stumpf) Harks. Jeanne married Donald H. Berggren and they had 30 years of marriage together. Donald passed away in 1975, and in 1980 she married Edward Boyd. Edward passed away in 2002. Jeanne enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to travel. Jeanne also loved to play cribbage. She is survived by her children, Ted (Paulette) Berggren of Florida, Donna (Ken) Kopmeyer of DeForest, Debbie Waelti of Sun Prairie, and Barbara (Jerry) Kowle of Nekoosa; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob Harks of Nekoosa; a sister, Sue (Don) Herrmann of Waupaca; and many nieces and nephews. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; husband, Edward; and infant grandson, Joshua Waelti. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, with Father John Meinholz celebrating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Highland Memory Garden. Jeanne was a very giving lady and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the relief efforts in Haiti. Special thanks to the town of Rome Emergency Response Team for all of their efforts to revive our mom. Thank you also to Gunderson Funeral Home for their kindness and compassion.

To the family:
I am so sorry of your loss. Jeanne was such a special lady. I worked with her for several years at Dr.George W.Ibrahim's office in Lake Placid,Florida, and then also at the Sebring,Florida office. We had such good memories, and laughs. I learned so much from Jeanne and was always so grateful. On different occasions, we would have dinners, and she would always fix her special fruit salad. I had the opportunity to see Jeanne several years back,on a trip up north,with my friend, and sister, and was with her several hours and had lunch with her and Barbie at the lake. I was so excited! I have met Ted and her twins, while working at the Lake Placid office. God bless you all, she will be missed so much. Keep the memories! always, Brenda Bromley-Turner
