OREGON-Delores Louise Lemke, age 82, died peacefully on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at Sienna Meadows in Oregon, under HospiceCare. She was born on April 11, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., the only child of Ervin and Louise (Redders) Schroeder. Delores married Kenneth Edward Lemke on Sept. 16, 1944. She enjoyed and was an accomplished seamstress, making wedding dresses for her three daughters. Delores was active as a Girl Scout leader, Den mother, and with St. John\'s Lutheran Women. Her love of flowers, especially roses, were at every one of her home gardens. Delores had a diverse career outside the home working for her father in construction in the Oregon area, Wisconsin Mold and Tool, Dunn Insurance, and was a dental assistant to John W. Plummer, D.D.S. She later went to work for the State of Wisconsin Corrections as a dental assistant at the Wisconsin School for Girls and continued on when it became Oakhill Corrections for men. Delores also had a very large career at home raising six children and being the best hostess ever for family gatherings, which were frequent as her grandchildren were growing up. She retired from the State of Wisconsin to enjoy life on the lake in Wautoma. Delores is survived by her children, Sharon Hansen (Tom Meyer) of Oregon, Julayne (Dick) Anderson of Oregon, Edward (Joan) of Green Bay/Algoma, Ginger (Brian) Dreher of Oregon, Harley of Brooklyn, and Kendel (Pam) of DeForest; 11 grandchildren, Kristina Hansen (Chuck Rhykerd) of Albuquerque, N. M., Paul (Jenna) Hansen of Madison, Kendee (Russell) Jungers of Madison, Edward II (Karin) Lemke of Clifton, N. J., Michael (Bobbie) Anderson of Evansville, Brannon (Nicole) Dreher of Midway, Ky., Beth (Ted) Wilke of Oshkosh, Karley and Kaytee Lemke of Brooklyn, and Jenna and Jacob Lemke of DeForest; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; and parents. A private family service was held on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, with no visitation, so please hold your memory of Delores close to your hearts, as you fondly remember her. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare, in Delores\' name. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Sienna Meadows for their special care and devotion in caring for our mother and grandmother. Also, a special thanks to Hospice for their excellent care, compassion and love for Delores.\r\n
