MADISON-Margaret “Maggie” McCullough, age 65, of Madison, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010, after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer.  She was born on March 4, 1945, in North Fond du Lac, the daughter of Edwin and Ilene Miller.  Maggie married the love of her life, Dale McCullough, on Oct. 16, 1965, in North Fond du Lac.  She chose to dedicate her life to her family as a homemaker, as well as to open her home to other children who she cared for in her daycare.  Because of this, Maggie touched the lives of countless children and their families, many of which she remained friends with to this day.  Maggie loved to bowl and she was especially proud to see her name and high scores in the paper.  She enjoyed playing bingo and attending her grandchildren’s programs and activities, as they were her greatest joy.  Maggie was also a big supporter of breast cancer and other cancer research.  She walked every year in the American Cancer Society walk as well as the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  Maggie is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Dale; daughter, Christine (Kent) Emerson; son, Scott (Stacy) McCullough; grandchildren, Megan, Mallory, Kassi, and Breanna; five brothers; and four sisters.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and two brothers.  Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 12, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
