Hron, Charlotte A.
WINDSOR-Charlotte A. Hron, age 61, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, from interstitial lung disease. She was born on Jan. 2, 1949, in Madison, the daughter of Archie and Geneva (Wood) Pollock. She graduated from LaFollette High School, class of 1967. Charlotte A. Pollock married Dennis Hron on Sept. 26, 1970, in Madison. Together they had two sons, Jeffery Dennis Hron and Gregory Robert Hron. She worked for General Casualty Companies for 26 years and most recently for American Family Insurance Company. Char enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and going to the family cabin. She was a great friend to many, she would always ask if you were "being a good egg". Char will be deeply missed by her family and many friends, including her husband of 39 years, Dennis of Windsor; her son, Jeff (Candi) of DeForest; her grand puppies, Buddy and Bam Bam; her brothers, Norvan Pollock, Rolland (Judy) Pollock, Kenneth (Judy) Pollock, and Floyd (JoAnn) Pollock; sisters, Lois (Gordon) Krueger, Evelyn Heckelsmiller, and Cheryl (Jim) Starker; mother-in-law, Jane Hron; and her best friend of 56 years, Karen Corbett. She is further survived by many nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gregory in 1994; her and Greg's beloved dog, Willie; an infant sister, Jeanette; her father-in-law, Eugene Hron; and her best friend, Karen's husband, Jim Corbett in 2009. She was further preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Virginia Pollock; and her brother -in-law, Russell Heckelsmiller. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at 11 a.m., at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, with the Rev. Jeff VandenHeuvel presiding. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Mary's Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital for the care they gave Char. "Mom, life will not be the same without you, Dad and I love you and will miss you."
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
